Strategic. Multidisciplinary. Award-winning. Three things that describe myself as a Chief Creative Officer. And more than likely, a thousand others.
But that’s where the similarities often end.
I don’t do things the same way the majority of CCO’s do, because quite simply, as a female CCO – I’ve never been in the majority. As a creative leader, I refuse to accept that the greatest ideas are always going to be mine – or from people who look and sound like me – or like the same things I do. I think the industry, the brands we’re representing, the people we’re talking to and the creatives we’re working with, deserve more than that.
Having been in advertising for almost 20 years, I’ve got to work with some amazing people, on some of the most-loved brands. Whether it’s for bras, booze, banks, beauty or burgers – my passion is to create award-winning, engaging, culturally-relevant communications, in any media. I’ve been awarded at the Effies, AWARD, Cannes, ADMA, New York Festivals, Media Federation Awards, John Caples, Spikes – and there’s always room for more. I've also been on several award juries, including Cannes Film 2018 plus SPIKES 2018 – and have been invited to speak at events including the 3% Conference.
I have a sharp mind, strong conceptual and copywriting skills, a hard-working attitude, an appreciation of down-to-earth honesty – and a somewhat questionable sense of humour.
