When it comes to domestic violence, most people think of it as physical abuse. But the thing is, other types of controlling behaviour are still incredibly damaging.
To show that, we launched a video that literally put people into a financially abusive experience. As they sat in the house of an abuse victim, we played the call for help the victim made to the Full Stop Foundation. This style of story-telling meant that we could be shocking and disturbing – which the issue itself is – without having to show shocking and disturbing scenes. Seeing other people react to something so real, raw and harrowing – made an issue that isn’t top of mind for many people, one they could relate to.
